GOLD STAR AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE CENTER was established in 1998 by Paul & Loretta Gill. Gold Star started out in Balfour St. Launceston and in 2004, moved to its current location in Rees St. Invermay. In 2011, Andrew Atkinson rejoined the team, establishing GOLDSTAR AUTOMOTIVE PTY LTD, as we are now known. Starting in 2013, we expanded our office space to better our service.
Our team has many years combined experience in all mechanical repairs, dating back to 1980.
Paul Gill

Paul has a wealth of experience in the automotive industry, starting in 1981. His interest in English vehicles began in 1984 at Bessant Motors in Kings Meadows, who had the JRA (Jaguar Rover Australia) agency.
In 1990, Paul began operating as Paul Gill Automotive, from our current premises in Invermay. Then in 1998, Paul moved to Balfour St. and started Gold Star Automotive Service Centre.
Later, in 2004, Paul moved the business back to Rees St. Invermay. In 2011, Paul and Andrew established Goldstar Automotive Pty Ltd.
Paul is now the sales manager at Goldstar Automotive Sales Division around the corner at 5-7 Northcote Street.
When he isn’t at work, Paul is an umpire for Masters Football; he is a regular at the gym and enjoys cycling when the weather permits.

Sandra has not yet told me anything about herself, other than, when I visit Goldstar for my servicing and repairs Sandra is so helpful, with a relaxed approach and friendly manner…even when she is handing you the bill ! :o)
Scott Wilkes
Automotive Technician
Scott joined our team in early 2007 as an apprentice mechanic. Scott is now a fully qualified automotive technician, whose passion for all things mechanical spreads to his spare time when he is working on his own cars or motorbike riding.
